Kids' Stuff

I want to commend all of our elementary teachers for their work with my little buddies.  I am constantly amazed at how disciplined and orderly our kids are as they go down the hall.  You teachers have a done a great job; and for that, I am grateful.

Discipline is necessary to maintain order and professionalism for our school. Many times I go into the classes where our kids have been taught to stand at attention.  This is not just for the preacher but for any adult that enters the room.

Keep up the good work and let's maintain everything with decency and order.  God has blessed our school with a great staff and some great kids.

                Preacher's Pals

You Should Have Seen It!

Last Wednesday night four young men helped me with a great illustration in church.  During the service I called on four of our five year olds to the platform to show our people what obedient young people could do.  The four young men were A. J. Cochran, Jared Cook, Austin Padgett, and Randy Holt.  After they took their places on the stage they followed my orders to the tee.  They stood, they marched, they sat down, they froze, and they shook hands.  It was fun to watch as they followed the orders of their pastor.

This illustration was unrehearsed and unannounced.  Our people could see first hand that five-year-olds can behave in church.  There is nothing feminine about these troopers.  They are "all boy"!  I was so proud of them and I thanked them for helping me out.  Way to go, guys, you were a blessing to this preacher and I love you for it!
