I am so excited about what is going on here at Peoples Baptist Church. In my thirty years of ministry here, last year was one of the best by far. There were many contributing factors, but one of our strongest factors was our teenagers. In a spirit of revival, they led our church in soulwinning, seeing many souls saved week after week. What excitement that brings to any church when young people are on fire for God!
Secondly, as we begin a new year, our new website is under the direction of Alan Camperson. Bro. Camperson has been such a great addition to our church. As our minister of music, his ability is second to none; but he brings so much more than just that to the table. In everything he does, he exudes a spirit of excellence. Please be patient as we get this new website going. There are a few bugs to work out and sermons to be posted.
Thirdly, the addition of Jon Tharp to our staff is a HUGE boost to our church. Jon was the lead singer of the Daybreak Quartet for several years and has now joined our staff as our new youth director. With a serious commitment to ministry, Bro. Tharp ministers from the heart. The leadership he gives our teens is just what they need, and they are flourishing under his direction.
There is just a great spirit around here that permeates the air. God continually blesses our services and church is a great place to be. Pray with us that this year will be the greatest one we have ever had. I am excited about what the Lord has for us here at Peoples Baptist Church.
