I Love My Country

This past Sunday was such a good day at Peoples Baptist Church. The day was deemed as "I Love My Country" Sunday. The choir sang patriotic numbers and we said pledges to the American Flag, the Christian Flag, and to the Bible. The Bible and the flags were led in by our own military guard. Dennis Smith, Fred Chitwood, Joe Price, A. B. Calhoun, Sr., and A. B. Calhoun, Jr., did the honors for the church. My eyes filled with tears as these soldiers entered the auditorium.

In the morning service, Randall Topping brought the message from God's Word. Brother Topping has just returned home from military duty in Africa. In both the morning and evening services, we had great music in keeping with the theme of patriotism. God was good to us the whole day.

Our great country needs help. We need to stop killing babies and condoning sodomy. The judgment of God is already here and much more is expected. The best thing that we as Christians could ever do is to live for the Lord Jesus Christ. God promises that "If MY people, which are called by MY name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, THEN will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." God bless America.
